August Round-up: Nurturing Growth π±
August has been a month full of connection, activity, and community spirit for our Nurturing Growth group.
We enjoyed getting out into nature with gentle walks through Skipton Woods, along the canal, and in Aireville Park, a chance to stretch our legs, enjoy the fresh air, and chat together.
The Diamond Jubilee Garden group also visited the Share Skipton shop, where we learned more about the valuable services they provide locally.
We welcomed a representative from a VCS funder, who joined Charlotte for a conversation about all that our community groups have to offer, and how they are making a difference.
Music was another highlight this month. David Weale led us in some uplifting singing sessions – including one outdoors, where we raised our voices in the sunshine!
We also teamed up with the Menβs Shed to care for the community. Together, we weeded and repaired the planter in Aireville Park. A follow-up visit is already in the diary, when weβll return with volunteers to add new plants and brighten the space even further.
Itβs been a month of growth – in our gardens, in our connections, and in our wellbeing. Weβre looking forward to seeing what September brings!
