New funding helps us keep doing what we do best 🫶

We’re thrilled to announce that Skipton Step Into Action has been awarded £20,000 by the Garfield Weston Foundation towards our core costs.

Grants like this one are genuinely special. Core funding covers the everyday essentials – the coordination, the admin, the “lights staying on” – that make all of our services possible, from befriending and community transport to our Nurturing Growth wellbeing group. It’s the hardest funding to secure, and the most valuable.

The Garfield Weston Foundation is a family-founded grant-maker established in 1958, supporting charities across the UK that make a positive difference in their communities. Since then it has awarded nearly £1.7 billion in grants, and we’re honoured that Skipton Step Into Action is now among the charities it supports.
