Since discovering Skipton Step into Action, the lives of many of our residents at Abbeyfield, Woodlands have been greatly enhanced. The transport service has offered many of the residents a reliable and affordable transport service, enabling them to get out and about on social outings and shopping trips as well as having friendly and familiar faces to drive them to hospital appointments, dentists etc.
The drivers have always been extremely reliable and helpful and have gone above and beyond to ensure that the residents feel safe and comfortable when they are out. It is especially advantageous for our wheelchair users as there are very limited options available for them locally and Step into Action have been there to help.
We also love having the choir in every few months for a sing – along and a chat. We have seen them flourish over the last year of so, since they started out and nowadays, they are so popular, we need to book them well in advance. This charity offers such a valuable service to our community, and we are very grateful for everything they do
