South Craven Volunteer Celebrations

Today is a very special day for volunteers in South Craven. Finally we have the opportunity to come together, reflect, & connect with others who have been working tirelessly over the past 17 months to help others.

Volunteers stepped up when it really mattered; When people feared leaving their homes for essentials, volunteers offered to go for them. When people felt alone, volunteers picked up the phone offering words of reassurance and when people were isolated and had no human contact, volunteers were there for a doorstep chat or to accompany them on a short walk.

Today is a day to recognize the phenomenal response from our community and we should all feel very privileged to know we have such kind hearted people living among us.

We are really grateful to our partners, local businesses and Stronger Communities who have supported our initiatives and fundraising to make this happen.
