Give the gift of a lift

We know that local people are struggling for transport to get to health appointments. This is having a detrimental effect on people’s health and wellbeing.

Skipton Step Into Action has recently introduced a volunteer transport scheme to address this problem. However, this relies on volunteers using their personal vehicles, which generally aren’t wheelchair accessible, which means that we need to purchase a vehicle to transport wheelchair users.

We have found a suitable vehicle at a great price but we need help to fund it. We are asking for donations to fund the vehicle itself and its costs (including insurance, driver training, road fund license and annual tyre and servicing costs). We also need volunteer drivers and somewhere to park it securely, so if you can help with this, please get in touch.
