Jean – our wheelchair accessible vehicle – is named after the late Jean McHale, an upstanding member of the local community, who volunteered for many causes benefitting the elderly, including running the Daybreak group for Craven Voluntary Action. This vehicle was used by Jean’s family to help get her about when her mobility reduced due to MND – after her passing, SSIA purchased the vehicle, naming it in her honor, to help the community with trips.
