As part of the Coronation Celebrations “The Big Help Out

“The Big Help Out” which is aimed to encourage people to try volunteering for themselves and join the work being undertaken to support their local areas. – SSIA volunteers were at Morrisons in Skipton chatting to potential new volunteers and discussing our services with potential new Friends of SSIA – #BigHelpOut  #coronationcelebration – During the Coronation Bank Holiday weekend, there was lots going on in our local community and beyond!

As part of these celebrations , on Monday May 8th, it was Volunteering Day. Several local organisations and charities were invited to Morrisons to set up a stall and share their experiences. There was Skipton Step Into Action, Craven Refugee Society, Scoffs Cafe, Share the Care, Avalon Group, Skipton Craven Rotary Club and Skipton Rotary

The public were invited to find out more, by popping down to Skipton to have a chat with some of the local charities that provide a variety of support for our community. You may decide that volunteering is for you! #makegoodthingshappen  #volunteersmakeadifference  #volunteering
